Zachary Willson is a undergraduate Computer Science major studying at The University of California, Davis and a transfer student from Allan Hanckock College. Zachary is currently an intern for the UCSB-Smithsonian Scholars program, assisting Dr. Alex White in developing machine learning tools to identify Santa Cruz Island Skunk sightings on camera traps located in the Channel Islands. Zachary’s work in the deployment of machine learning tools helps facilitate ongoing quantitative ecological research conducted on Santa Cruz Island.
